India remains fractious on June 9, 2025!

India remains fractious on June 9, 2025 when the RSS Pariwar union government completes first year of the third term of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and cumulatively eleven years consecutively, divided by religion, caste, community, sexes, regions and ethnicity with misogynistic approach in governance. The diversionary agenda of RSS for divisive, communal, partisan, discriminatory and religious polarizing of the diverse people on the heels of the highest raised expectations of the people that the Pariwar would take them to the sky high for all round development and prosperity of the nation is continuing unabated. The Pariwar has been following the gospel of Manusmriti and Guru Gpolwalkar’s ‘Bunch of Thoughts’ meticulously in flagrant violation of religious neutral (secular) system of constitutional democratic governance based on justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. The Hindutva’s open majoritarian agenda continues to be followed with impunity.
According to a data compiled by the America based Indiahatelab, calumny and hate campaign by the RSS Pariwar in 2024 reached its crescendo with the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh giving 86 hate speeches against the minorities, followed by the Prime Minister with 67 hate speeches, union Home Minister 58 hate speeches, Chief Minister of Assam 36 hate speeches, Sudharshan News Channel owner with 36 hate campaigns, BJP Legislator T. Raja Singh of Telengana 32 hate speeches, Pravin Togadia, Chief of Antarashtriya Hindu Parishad 31 hate speeches, Nitesh Rana, Minister of Fisheries and Ports, Maharashtra 29 hate speeches, Kajal Hindustani, Far-right Influencer 23 hate speeches, and Dhananjay Desai, Chief of Hindu Rashtra Sena 18 hate speeches. In the public esteem, these powerful people were seen above the law. As a result, the law enforcing agencies in our rule of law-based democracy where all are considered equal before law took no legal action. Nor did the courts (judiciary), which have been functioning mostly as executive courts, take any action including suo motu one.
Some other continuing predatory communal agenda has been heathen bulldozer justice to demolish rampantly houses of minorities in steep violation of the rule of law, imaginary love jihad, land jihad, sputum jihad, corona jihad, urine jihad, cow vigilantism, mob lynching of Muslims, implications of young bright boys in false and make-believe draconian non-bail able anti-terror laws and incarcerating them for several years without trial, withdrawal cum cancellation of scholarships to minority students, closure of Maulana Azad Education Foundation that provided financial support to minority students for higher education, non-devolution of loans or credits to minorities from public financial institutions, a frontal attacks on Muslim Waqf properties through the Waqf Amendment Act, 2025, weaponisation of triple talaq, CAA, NRC, all out attacks on their livelihoods have been acted upon and enacted since 2014. In this back drop, our armed forces having struck down and destroyed nine terror sites in Pakistan and having come with flying colours in the early May 2025 Operation Sindoor, and India’s outreach through composite multi-party delegations to several foreign countries have ended up as a political diplomacy tour and come a cropper. The foreign media are generally hostile to India and view our democracy having emerged an electoral autocracy, where collective democratic decisions/actions are dead and there is one man rule with no semblance of democracy as all power are centralized in single deity who function as a fascist monarch.
It is worrisome that no country did stand up with India during and after Operation Sindoor although France and Russia did make some feeble noise but paused immediately. With the multi-party delegations having cut no ice about India’s bona fide abroad, and ill conceived encashing of Operation Sindoor for electoral gains and sending Sindoor to each house hold withdrawn by the ruling Sangh Pariwar viewed as an affront to the Sindoor that could be given or applied to women by their husbands only for everlasting sacramental bonding between the couple, have been the ground realities of the nation and viewed by foreign media with derision. Such anti democratic repressive measures like weaponisation of dissents, freedom of speech, press freedom, flagrant violations of human rights of citizens, growing unemployment of youth, rising costs of living and other diversionary tactics of the governments, Central and the BJP ruled states, are all reported, discussed and analysed by foreign media and academics.
Last 11 years of the RSS Pariwar union government have witnessed blind followers of Hindutva imbued with the toxicity of religious opium; view the PM above reproach and public accountability. For example, law and order in Jammu and Kashmir, which is highly secured, is whole and sole responsibility of the union government (Union Home Ministry) and the status of the Chief Minister there is like that of a mayor of a municipal corporation, with no accountability of the Central Government. In a highly undemocratic step, the government did not hold special session of Parliament to discuss Operation Sindoor and to give a resolute message of unity of our diverse people. The PM also did not hold much less chaired all party meeting knowing fully that Ministers in the government do not matter. People hardly know their names. It is only one-man government and all the way dictatorship. There appears to be undeclared emergency with people living in fear and insecurity. Indian diplomacy or for that matter foreign policy failed completely having filled its basket in projecting PM abroad while tying up and coordinating with the Hindutva outfits abroad to promote the PM as a self-styled ‘global leader’ (Vishva Guru) and India as ‘Mother of Democracy’.
On economic development front, country emerging a fourth largest economy in terms of GDP sounds a misnomer viewed in the context of select few corporates emerging top on the ladder of prosperity and common people living below poverty line or on subsistence level, with the bubble of capital market with massive withdrawal by foreign institutional and other investors, unprecedently with the highest ever unemployment, growing crime graphs, underinvested education, health and increasing social tension and the union government being ever ready to divert public attention through captive media management to emotive issues of religion and mythical past from the core issues facing the people. India, viewed in per capita income, continues to be one of the poorest countries with islands of opulence here and there!
